"This year’s entries really showcase the very best of Retail Media in New Zealand. What set our winners apart were campaigns grounded in deep customer insight and genuine, end-to-end collaboration—reflecting exactly where the future of planning is heading. The quality of work and the real commercial results delivered show just how powerful it is when Cartology and our brand partners work closely together.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported the program this year, and huge congratulations to all our winners and nominees for raising the bar!"

Speights 150th
2026 Campaign of the Year

Lion | Speight's 150th Birthday

Faced with a declining mainstream beer category, the Speight’s 150th birthday campaign created a celebratory event.

Guiding customers seamlessly from online search and homepage banners into physical stores, Speight’s brought the golden cans to life across all touchpoints to create impact amongst customers.

Through cross-functional collaboration the traditional briefing model was replaced with a co-created commercial and media strategy that stood to solve the declining category through customer trial.

The campaign delivered massive success, achieving 123% year on year sales growth, expanded market share to ~8%, and acquired over 6,400 new and reactivated customers.
